Sindh, today, is a province of the 'Islamic' Republic of Pakistan, a state that was created in 1947 from the partition of the British Indian Empire into two new states: the other state being India. Whilst Pakistan was created, Sindh was not. Sindh has its own language, traditions and culture rooted in its past from times immemorial. The evolution of this nation dates before the earliest recorded history, of which we can only learn from the study of unearthed archeological remains of ancient cities etc.  However, repetitive conquests by invading empires not only caused this country to suffer but also its history became subject to imperial bias as was the fate of other countries of the Indian Sub-continent. The sources of history provided by foriegn authors, in particular, those subject to the British Empire and its successor state, Pakistan, have clouded the actual story of Sindh in an effort to reduce its ancient identity to that of a mere ethnic group or 'province'. Thus the heritage of Sindh has suffered immensely as can be seen when we look at its architecture, culture, litrature or archeological remains today. Sindhi students are taught a false history in Pakistani schools. The purpose of this site is to provide awareness about the true history of Sindh.
